Biography
Zhang Wenchao (born in 1985) is an artist who lives and works in Beijing. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) with a major in digital media art in 2008 and obtained a master’s degree in fine arts from CAFA in 2014. His works focus on human experience, behavior, and imagination in media environments, and his art projects involve artistic languages based on emerging technologies, such as multimedia installations, data- generated films, games and virtual worlds. His recent works mainly examine the generation and evolution of human experience in media environments from a technological perspective. He is currently a lecturer (director of art and technology) at the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts.
