Biography
Sui Jianguo (b. 1956 in Qingdao, Shandong province) received a BA in the Fine Arts Department from Shandong University of Arts in 1984 and an MA in the Sculpture Department from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989, where he is now serving as a senior professor.
Sui Jianguo has a deep understanding of the creation concept, forms of work, selections of medium, spatiotemporal experience and other aspects in his forty years of artistic practice. Since 2008, he has gradually focused on creating clay works by hand and enlarging them into works with 3D digital technology.
